David Walton’s journey into leadership began with a simple but powerful question: Who am I, and how do I belong?
At just 12 years old, David became a published author of Blended Culture Identity, a book that explores identity, culture, and the experiences of young people growing up between worlds. Through his writing, he gave a voice not only to his own journey, but to many young people navigating similar questions of identity and belonging.
But David didn’t stop at writing. What began as a personal exploration quickly grew into a deeper passion — a desire to help other young people find their voice, build confidence, and step into leadership.
This passion led to the creation of David Walton Leadership and the Young Ambassadors Programme (YAP) — a space where young people don’t just learn about leadership, but experience it.
Through practical activities, real-world exposure, and mentorship, David is helping to shape a generation that is confident, self-aware, and ready to lead in their communities and beyond.
David’s journey is a reminder that leadership is not defined by age — it is defined by
purpose, courage, and the willingness to make a difference.
“From identity to leadership — this is the journey we invite every young person to take.”
“To empower young people to become confident leaders in their communities and beyond.”
“Every young person needs a Mentor, a Coach, and a Cheerleader.”
